Ms. Williams was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey. After moving to New York City,
her career took off. Performing in many of New Yorks' well known and landmark
supper clubs, such as
The APOLLO THEATER and The COTTON CLUB, she was
also the feature artist at various cultural centers, colleges, and she could even be
heard dazzling the passengers of luxury cruise ships with her phenomenal
vocalizations.
Gia Williams also entertained internationally as a vocalist with the famous HARLEM
GOSPEL CHOIR
, where she performed in Japan, Italy, Greece, England, Portugal,
New Zealand, Austrailia, Puerto Rico, Martinique, Ireland, Mexico, Chile,    
Amsterdam (Haarlam), Rio De Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Saint James Barbados, and
many more world famous sites locations.
In addition to having singing engagements at the very well known APOLLO
THEATER
in NYC (where many a star was born) Ms. Williams also has performed at
the landmark
COTTON CLUB (NYC), the MARRIOT and SHERATON (NYC), The
BLUE NOTE
(NYC), MINTONS (NYC) and a great many more high caliber clubs and
theaters (Ms. Williams has a long list of Theater credits that include
BILLIE
HOLIDAY
, SARAH VAUGHN, The GREATEST SHOW on EARTH and many more.
Her most recent film appearance was in AMERICAN GANGSTER. GIA WILLIAMS
has appeared in films by both UNIVERSAL PICTURES and Washington Square
Films.
Ms. WILLIAMS has even won a 'BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS' award for
her role in the play 'ROBAIRE' (1993).
Ms. Williams has also appeared in many video and television productions which
include
GOOD MORNING AMERICA (WABC - TV) and STAIRWAY to STARDOM.
